Sponsoring in sports

Fédération Luxembourgeoise de Football - FLF

LALUX Assurances has been an official sponsor of the Fédération Luxembourgeoise de Football for more than 20 years. LALUX supports the Luxembourg national team at international matches. On the day of home matches, visitors can win one of the prizes by taking part in the LALUX raffle (Tombola), which is free of charge.

The LALUX FAIR-PLAY INDOOR CUP, an indoor football tournament that bears the LALUX name, and the two fundamental pillars of which are based on the game as such and on fair play. These social values that football wants to convey are also important for LALUX.

Fédération Luxembourgeoise de Basketball - FLBB

Founded on 10 December 1933 by Aloyse Hentgen, the mission of the Fédération Luxembourgeoise de Basketball is to manage and organise basketball at all levels in Luxembourg.

Since its creation, the FLBB has contributed to the development of basketball in Luxembourg and manages its national teams. It has identified the fundamental values of basketball as a team sport and follows a clear vision to achieve the objectives of the sport, pursuing a continuous and coherent strategy in the execution of all its activities.

Through its founder, LALUX Assurances is of course a long-standing official sponsor of the FLBB. As the name of the tournament implies, LALUX supports the women’s basketball team in the LALUX Ladies Cup.

Postlaf

LALUX, which initially sponsored the “10 Stonne Velo” organised by the Amicale des PTT, as well as the galas of the Tour de France, became a sponsor of the Postlaf in 1999, and which is nowadays a great success. At the same time, the Amicale POST Luxembourg also organises a children’s race called the LALUX Kids Run.

Equestrian sponsorship

Thanks to its partnership with the R+V insurance company Vereinigte Tierversicherung (VTV), which specialises in this sector, LALUX Assurances offers comprehensive horse insurance exclusively on the Luxembourg market. LALUX has since supported several renowned national equestrian championships

DKV-UrbanTrali

Since its creation in 2010, the DKV-UrbanTrail has been one of the key sporting events in Luxembourg. DKV Luxembourg, a member of the LALUX Group, has been the main sponsor since the first edition of the race, which takes place in the City of Luxembourg and surrounding nature.

The DKV-UrbanTrail is aimed at runners of all ages wishing to take part in a sporting adventure, whatever their performance. It welcomes runners from Luxembourg and abroad who can discover Luxembourg over different distances through the town centre, the old town, the fortifications and even the nearby forest.

Partnerships

SOS children's village

A non-governmental organisation at the service of the most vulnerable children and families in the world, SOS Children’s Villages is a key player in Luxembourg and in the countries where it operates in the area of children’s rights and protection. It is placed under the High Patronage of H.R.H. the Grand Duchess and enjoys the support of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and other public entities. It is a member of SOS Children’s Villages International.

LALUX Assurances supports the association in various events that it organises and also at events sponsored by LALUX, in particular at the Spillfest, where LALUX helps SOS Children’s Villages and its volunteers to raise their profile.

Union Grand-Duc Adolphe – UGDA

The Union Grand-Duc Adolphe, more generally known under the acronym UGDA, is the national federation of the associative movement of choral and instrumental music, folklore and theatre in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. It currently has more than 12,500 active members in 291 affiliated societies.

LALUX Assurances has been a partner of the UGDA for more than 20 years and encourages the artists to develop their talent from an early age.

Lëtzebuerger Guiden a Scouten - LGS

Lëtzebuerger Guiden a Scouten is the largest youth movement (scouts and guides) in Luxembourg. Their mission is to prepare young people to be responsible for themselves and responsible for others. LGS’s key focus is on respect, creativity and motivation.

Each individual can enjoy positive experiences, make friends, learn social skills and develop personally. Young people learn to respect nature, to question themselves and to see in which environment they want to be. They learn to be more committed to others.

LALUX Assurances encourages the young members of this movement to develop these noble values that will give them the right tools to develop through the different stages of their lives.

Foire Agricole Ettelbruck - FAE

Since the test laboratories of the Administration des Services Techniques de l’Agriculture and the Lycée Technique Agricole were set up in Ettelbrück, the town has been known as Luxembourg’s “Agricultural City”. The first agricultural exhibition was inaugurated in 1958. Since then, the fair has been held regularly.

Together with De Verband, LALUX Assurances has been a partner of the FAE for more than 10 years. This support makes sense owing to the strong customer base in the agricultural sector. The FAE receives an average of 30,000 visitors a year.

Den Atelier

The idea of opening a live music club was conceived in the early 90s. The founders wondered why international bands were performing in neighbouring countries and not in Luxembourg. From this idea, Den Atelier, as we know it today, was born.

LALUX Insurance has been an official sponsor since 2009 and through the partnership promotes musical culture of all kinds in Luxembourg. Den Atelier has organised several successful outdoor festivals. LALUX has also sponsored several editions of Rock@Fields, outdoor concerts and most recently the Siren’s Call festival.

Luxembourg Art Week

Luxembourg Art Week | The Fair is Luxembourg’s leading contemporary art fair, of which LALUX Assurances has been a partner since 2015.

LALUX, as a collector of contemporary art, underlines its great interest in art through this partnership, and also supports its influence in Luxembourg.
