Security: Beware of new phishing attempts
Vigilance recommended: surge in phishing attempts
Since the start of this week, new phishing attempts have been circulating via email. These emails refer to an insurance statement and/or a tax certificate entitling the recipient to a tax deduction, and encourage recipients to click on a fake link to download a tax certificate.
In light of the increase in online scams, it is essential to remain vigilant against suspicious emails seeking to extract confidential data from you.
How to identify them?
- Suspicious sender: slightly altered email address or unofficial domain.
- Artificial urgency: request for immediate action (updating contact details, payment).
- Links or attachments: invitations to click on an unknown link or download a file (.zip).
Our advice:
- Do not click on suspicious links or attachments.
- Never share your passwords or codes via email.
