Accessibility statement

LALUX (La Luxembourgeoise S.A.) undertakes to make its digital services and content available and accessible to all, including people with disabilities.
We strive to continuously improve the user experience for all our visitors and apply recognised accessibility standards, in particular WCAG 2.2 and the  European standard EN 301 549.
This accessibility declaration concerns LALUX’s website, available at the following address: https://www.lalux.lu.

Status of compatibility with requirements

This website complies in part with the European standard EN 301 549 and the general reference framework which implements it, due to the elements listed below.

Inaccessible content

LALUX continues to work on optimising the elements that do not yet comply with the relevant standards:

  • On some pages, there are links with no link text.
  • On all pages, the contrast between text and background is a little too low.
  • On some pages, the language entered in HTML does not correspond to the language of the page.
  • There are unlabelled buttons on almost every page. Navigation with screen readers to buttons is difficult.
  • There are invalid ARIA attribute values (hidden instructions that help assistive technologies such as screen readers) on several pages. These are not detected by the scree
  • readers and are therefore not displayed correctly.
  • On some pages, a parent page has no corresponding child page. This can confuse screen reader users, as content is expected, but there is none.
  • There are scrolling elements on the simple pages that cannot be scrolled using the keyboard. This makes it difficult for assistive technology users to read the whole page.
  • On all the pages, there are interactive elements whose names are not included in the caption. This makes it difficult to control the website by voice.
  • On some pages, there are unlabelled buttons, links or ARIA menu items. Navigating to these elements with screen readers is difficult.
